VILLA KOOKABURRA - GUEST REVIEWS
Private family accomodation for family of 5

This place was great for our family of 5, kids aged 13, 7 and 5. The pool is an ideal size and has steps and graduated depth which we needed for our water nervous 5 year old. While there is cable tv we would have liked to be able to watch DVDs too, but there is not one supplied. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs to block out the normal Bali sounds of roosters, dogs and scooters. We hired bikes for 25000 rupiah ($2.50) per day from down the street and explored the backstreets and breach front, this was heaps of fun and I would highly recommend it. Beds were comfy and showers hot, bottled water dispenser is also available with cold and hot water. A 10 min walk to hardy supermarket and 5 min to Lilla Warung a popular eat! Te villa is located almost directly behind the Swisshotel. Will definitely be back again!

The villa was very clean, the grounds and pool well kept & private. The beds & linens were very good quality. The cleaning staff & manager were very friendly & polite, also helpful with info on anything from shopping & laundry to sightseeing. We were in close proximity to restaurants, shops & spa/massage treatments plus a pleasant walk to the beach. We ate our lunches & dinners at restaurants but it was great to have a supermarket within walking distance for breakfast items, snacks & beverages for when we wanted to spend time at the lovely villa. The neighbourhood roosters waking us, very common all over Bali, reminded us of our childhoods.
- Very pleasant, very comfortable!
- Hans, the host, is a very friendly Dutch-speaking guy who is willing to help you out with everything you need. A cleaning lady is visiting the house every day at 10am to clean the mess and once/twice a week a gardener and pool-man pass by to check whether everything at the villa is going well. The whole villa has three AC's and four fans and is comfortable for friends as well as families with children!
- The Wi-Fi is working on a pre-paid basis. Therefore, every other day / every day we had to write Hans whether he could buy us some more Wi-Fi. Maybe this was because we were here to work on our research for uni.

“We have been to Bali 13 times and usually stay in Legian. So we thought why not try Sanur as we always visit Sanur when we are in Bali. We absolutely loved your Villa and the privacy of your pool. The unit is well maintained and cleaner who comes daily does a great job. We loved having the water stand for hot or cold water. The linen was fresh and clean. Its quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of car noise yet only a very short walk 500 metres to the main road for shopping and food outlets. An abundance of taxis avail with only costing a couple if dollars Australian to get to the beach if you don't fancy the approx 8 minute walk. We usually travel to bali twice a year and if your Villa is available we definitely will be back for future visits. Just loved our 11 day stay in villa. The owners very accommodating and quick with replies and very helpful. If you need transport to the villa the owners can arrange for a great price for airport transfers. ”

My wife and I booked the Kookaburra Villa while we were staying in Sanur at a large resort. The peaceful and relaxing feeling this villa provided us was special, and a welcome relief to a resort. The booking, communication and service provided by the owners and the manager Hans was outstanding. In a fantastic, safe location; just a short stroll to the main shopping and restaurant strip of Sanur. I highly recommend this villa, and we intend to stay here on our next vacation.

Located in quiet street and about 10 minute walk to beach. Close to, many great restaurants and shops. Villa is new and staff very friendly. Make sure you have a map of the location when you go there as the airport based taxi drivers only seem to know the big resorts in Sanur

The service from Estelle was very helpful and accommodating. She was very prompt with email responses and did everything she could to help us in every way. Villa Kookaburra was lovely, clean and well maintained. The pool was attended to regularly and kept clean during our entire stay, unlike other villas where we have stayed and the pool has turned green. The house keeping lady was lovely, friendly and kind. The linen was clean and replaced when needed or when asked and it smelt lovely and fresh. Hans was very helpful in telling us directions on how to get to the shops also the wireless internet stopped working but a quick phone call to and he had it fixed and sorted. The only thing we thought the villa could have had was ceiling fans in the 2 bedrooms - there are fans in the lounge, kitchen and outside but not in the bedrooms. We only used the air-conditioner in the bedrooms as there wasn't ceiling fans in the rooms otherwise we wouldn't have used the air-conditioning. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Kookaburra Villa and would happily stay there again.
